I have tried other Steam mops. Shark's steam was good but built with low quality materials and the plastic broke just assembling it. Steam fast mop never worked, period. I was reluctant to try this one since I had bad luck before but the Dirt Devil name is what made me decide to try again. I was really looking for something more compact but glad I got this instead. The steam is strong and can be adjusted so there is more or less steam. My Oven had baked on guck on the bottom for years and within 20 minutes the steamer and wire brush had it clean and looking brand new and without that nasty oven cleaner chemical smell. The cleaner has a compartment to store all the attachments which is nice and the steamer has a stand so you can store it upright with the mop handle and head attaches to the steamers main body. The wheels turn easily and there is also a front wheel that swivels 360 degrees so you can easily move it around corners. The only draw back is that it doesn't have a crapet attachment but not really worried about that. The mop head has scrub brush bristles all the way around it so you can scrub the floor to get gunk off. Overall I am very pleased with the item and would highly recommend it over any steam mop since it can be used as a more multi purpose item...Plan to clean my barbeque with it next.

I purchased this item for the use at night time mainly. It works ok as long as you switch off before you go to sleep as this one doesn't have a timer.

As seen in the other reviews, this one starts being on and off when the water level is getting low, and I personally get annoyed by the sound, which is not too loud, but it's annoying enough for me to stop it, or fill the water during the night. It may not bother you at all if you use it during the day. So, I mainly use this one before the bed time in the bed room, or during the day in the office.

Otherwise it is a handy size, my 4 yrs old daughter loves the color changing every 5-7 sec. It gives smaller amount of mist compare to the other diffusers which price range btw $60-80, but I think it gives enough mist for kids room or in the office. I use another one in my bed room and kitchen which has a timer and gives me more mist.

One thing that I remember now, is that I read the manual and it looks like the water measuring cup comes with this item, but it doesn't. I contacted the manufacturer and made sure with them. Well, you don't need a cup with it any way. Just wanted to inform for the future user.

Over all, I'm happy with the price and how it works during the day time / before bed time.
